EarlNeo SG

U can own hunting rifle there and even small arm if there is legitimate reason. The law in east a bit more relax, coz i know afew fren there own rilfe at home. But as for semi auto, they are normally classified under assault rilfe hence against the law.

popikachu SG

soleachip SG

why is the law around the east more relaxed? for religious reasons or wot?

ispyyy SG

Rolling Eyes

EarlNeo SG

LoL.... dun think that will be likely and beside.... most of the chap here are sigina and future protector of our country to be wow... so.. cut them some slack... Laughing

ispyyy SG

the rifle tat they own is world war 2 type rifle...
I noe ... coz, my father is from east malaysia...
ya... n he used to brag on boar shooting when he is young...

EarlNeo SG

there is more native there and it is less populated. Comparing the area to population ratio of the east and west m'sia, it is a lot harder for the police force to be so effective there. Dun have to look far to see the effectiveness of their law enforcer, just look north across our border. Hence, the law are more relax in allowing certain gp(rich) of ppl owning firearm to self protect themselves.

soleachip SG

No apart from SAF and local boo boos when we're attacked, I think Singapore has a line of strange foreign tribal men with long hair going on the front line before our own men go on the frontline. There is a name for them... trying to recall. They are still around and highly paid to do what they do I think.

EarlNeo SG

yeah those WW2 rifle are still in great demand coz they work very well till these day.

corebooster SG

lucky i no carry rifle. Laughing

EarlNeo SG

Oh i think u mean the gurkhas that was origin from the Queen army that are still in use today. Yes, they are the elite of the elite. Yes we still have a very small population ard...

here is a bit of their history:
The Queens Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment, formerly The Queens Own Gurkha Transport Regiment, The Gurkha Transport Regiment and The Gurkha Army Service Corps, was formed as a component part of The Brigade of Gurkhas on 1 July 1958.
